My Busy Weekend

So far this weekend I've been pretty busy. On Friday night Spiderman and I went to my friend Brandi's house for dinner and games. I wanted to test out a recipe for Pico de Gallo and Guacamole that I found on The Pioneer Woman. Can I just say...she ROCKS! The Pico was SO tasty!
And the guacamole was PERFECT. We ate all of it!

Then on Saturday, my girlfriend Gina came to town with her newest little guy, Cooper. I got to meet the little pumpkin and give him his blanket, which I finally finished. It turned out pretty cute. After I was done stitching, I sewed some flannel to the back to make it nice and soft and baby friendly.
I am so relieved to have that finished. It took me much longer than I had anticipated. Later that evening I went to the NWI Bloggy Meet where I met SO many interesting people. I now have several new blogs to read and I think some new friends.
Here's the group picture of everyone there. Unfortunately the picture is blurry. My camera totally sucks. I really should get a new one...perhaps like Crooked Eyebrows. She has the coolest Nikon and I completely want it!!
All I have planned for today is about 5-6 loads of laundry. I know what you're thinking...Wow, super fun day! I know you're jealous.

Wow, those bowls look yummy! So did your plate last night...I could have kicked myself for not ordering what you had. That blanket is adorable. How talented you are! Would you belive I thought I didn't bring my camera last night but it was hiding at the bottom of my purse the whole time, but Crooked eyebrow took enough pictures for all of us. Have fun today doing the ton of laundry....I just got my load of sheets out of the dryer...I added you to my blog roll...So happy to have another blog friend...and I just adore you accident prone mom!

Great job on the blanket.

I had a great time last night, so glad to meet you and your mom. She is toooo funny! I'm glad to see I'm not the only mother to have crazy things happen and the kids still turn out wonderful!

We all have to do this again soon.

As the de facto recipient of the blanket (since Cooper is a bit to young to blog, or even sit up yet), I am happy to say that the picture doesn't do the blanket justice, it's FANTASTIC! I'm sooooo jealous that Sarah can do crafty things like that.

Glad you had such a good time at the dinner, Sarah!
