They Tried To Make Me Go To Rehab...

I'm channelling a little bit of Amy Winehouse here because I realize things may have gotten a little out of hand. I might need an intervention or something because I can't help myself! Is there some sort of support group I can join? You know, compulsive readers anonymous or something. Because it is compulsive. I actually crave a good story. Almost more than chocolate. These piles don't include the book I keep in my work bag, or the book I have on my coffee table that I've spent the afternoon with. Or the seven books my mother just got from her book club that I've already called dibs on. Aughhhh! I. MUST. BE. STOPPED!
It's gonna be a good summer.

Oh, you are a girl after my own heart! Bring on the books! I always feel suspicious when I enter a home with NO BOOKS... or with books that are all lined up so perfectly by size, color, and shape that you know NO-ONE EVER READS THEM!!!!

You've inspired me to take some photos of my book piles, too. Be on the "book-out"... I mean, look-out!!!!

I see a few that may be on MY pile soon!!! I've got to update my list (not gonna get through Tessie and Pearl, just FACE it) Along with Yoga, we'll go to Book Addicts anonymous, and afterwards Barnes and Noble for a cafe mocha and just "smell" the bindings of the New Age section. That should just about do us.
(um, word verification just made me type foooaik....the sound one makes when your flip flop gets stuck in thick mud)

I always buy about a dozen books and then forget to read a bunch of them, so there's always a nice stockpile of back-books around for me to read. It works.

Nah, there's always room for books! There are MUCH worse habits you can have.

Hey Sarah,
I just left a similar comment on your mom's blog, but this weekend I stupidly and very accidentally deleted my own blog. Petunia Face is now gone, sucked into the ethers of the www. All those memories, photos, my writing, all gone forever. Poof!

I'm currently making a new blog, still called Petunia Face but it has a new URL since the old one is locked. It's http://petuniafacedgirl.blogspot.com

Please make sure you change your blogroll and please let anyone who you think might care know.

Thank you! :)

I feel your pain. I sat in Barnes & Noble for about 25 minutes debating whether or not I spent $50 on books or paying my cell phone bill. I must be stopped.
