For the last two days everyone has been readying themselves. It's on all the newscasts, and it's what everyone is talking about.
It is going to snow! In Northwest Indiana! In December!
I know, it's amazing. Every year people get all aflutter. Like it doesn't snow the same time every year. They're always surprised. And can't possibly remember what it's like to drive in that snow. I'm always stuck behind the one person who is braking constantly while others are flying by at 90 mph like there's no reason to slow down.
What does snow mean to me? It means that I have to get up extra early in the mornings. Something I'm not a fan of as sleeping is my #1 hobby. Also? With this snow comes frigid temps. The temperature tomorrow is supposed to be 0. That's not even a degree. It's like the anti degree. With the windchill it will be negative degrees.
That means I'm going to have to dig out my insulated coat and finish knitting that scarf I started this summer. I should probably go do that now.

Can I have some? It's soooooo hot here!
Ahhh, I head on our morning news how to "bundle up" in layers during this cold snap. (no! Really? It's crazy wicked cold, I'm naturally going to put MORE CLOTHES ON) The newscaster also informed the entire NW Indiana/Chicagoland area...keep a pair of gloves in your car! And a hat!
Geeze, that is what his college degree bought him? Dunce, this isn't sweater weather, it's 19 below zero wind chill. Talk about rant....sorry honey.
Apparently there is a 30% chance of snow here on Christmas . . . which is about 30% more likely than usual and means that if it does happen, our drive to my fiancee's parent's house that morning is going to suck because everyone panics here if there is so much as a layer of frost outside. Should be fun!
