Greetings From the South Pole!

In the last 48 hours we've gotten a lot of snow. I'd say a little over a foot of snow. Added to the well over a foot we've already got on the ground. And there's more to come. On my way to work this morning I did a complete 180 degree spin and ended up facing oncoming traffic. It was a very "we're all gonna die!" moment. And I was only going 35 mph. But you gotta love that traffic just went cruising around me while I sat there and tried to collect myself.

I did make it to work safely, thankfully. We spent most of the day watching people from our department window slipping and sliding coming up the walkway. It was highly entertaining and we saw a few wipeouts.

I would have included some pictures of the snow, but that would mean I would have to go outside again. And it's all warm and snug in here.
Maybe later.

What's the weather like where you are?

You look like me about 30 years ago in that get up. Like 30 years ago when I spent some time studing anthropology in the frozen tundra at the Artic Circle,
Or
Maybe when I shoveled the walk at the "old house".

I was wondering how you got to work today. We closed the med center at noon, to spare the patients the drive.

About 45 and currently not raining. Yesterday it was 45 and sprinkling. Tommorow its suppose to be ~50 and partly sunny. So much for the 'winters' in the PNW. But they do have tons of snow in the mountains where it belongs!
In all fairness we did have it snow in the valley but then in a couple of days it was gone, I made chicken soup and all was right with the world.

Snow is mostly gone... just a few patches here and there.

But it's still COLD.
